GREEDY ZEBRA
This is a story from the beginning of time. The animals live in the jungle. They look different from animals we see today because they don't have coats. They are all a dull gray color.
One day, a big cave opens in the ground. The lion and the elephant look in the cave. They see something incredible! In the cave there are many new coats of different colors: red, orange, green, brown, silver and gold. There are big coats, small coats and tiny coats.
The lion and the elephant tell the other animals about the cave. All the animals go quickly to the cave.
But Greedy Zebra stays by the river eating grass. He likes eating a lot. "I have a lot of time to visit the cave" Greedy Zebra thinks. "A lot of time."
Greedy Zebra eats and eats. Suddenly, he sees a flash of orange. It is the tiger, and she has a beautiful orange color with black stripes. "Do you like my new coat?" Asks the tiger. "It's from the cave."
"Oh!" Thinks Greedy Zebra. "I want a new coat, too." So he goes to the cave. On the way, he sees a small bush. Yummy, Yummy. Greedy Zebra really likes eating.
He eats the bush and goes on his way. But soon he sees a bit of grass, and then another. Delicious!
From time to time he sees other animals. They are all wearing beautiful coats. The giraffe is yellow and brown, the lion is a gold color, the snake is red and green, the flamingo is pink. Even the crocodile is wonderfuly green.
"I want a red and gold coat and a pink tail." Thinks Zebra. He has a last bite and runs to the cave.
Of course, Greedy Zebra is the last animal to arrive. But where are the colorful coats? There are only a few pieces of black skin. Zebra cuts the pieces and makes his coat. "Oh, no!" He thinks. "It's very small." Zebra puts on his new black coat. It's very tight!
Greedy Zebra goes to the river and has a bite of a bush. Pop! His coat opens. He has another bite. Pop! And another. Pop! Pop! The black coat opens and his fat, white tummy sticks out. Today we can see the zebra's fat tummmy sticking out of his coat because he is so greedy.
QUESTION.
